EDUARDO GÓMEZ DE LARRAIN, German lawyer since 1985 and Spanish lawyer since 1995, meets the future based on more than twenty years of experience in the fields of German and international business and banking law.
With his appointment as General Counsel of Dresdner Bank Lateinamerika AG (formerly Deutsch-Südamerikanische Bank – Banco Germánico de la América del Sud) in 1996, Latin America, the Caribbean and Miami acquire special importance in Gómez de Larrain’s professional life. From the headquarters in Hamburg he provides legal advice in all kinds of projects to be financed in more than twenty countries in the region – from issues related to private trusts, pension and investment funds over structured financing for commodities and industrial projects to debt restructuring and infrastructure projects with co-financing by the World Bank Group. He supervises the work of both in-house and external legal teams, and coordinates between them and the business units of the bank in Hamburg and throughout the region. Additionally, Gómez de Larrain advises the bank in legal issues regarding corporate matters, supervisory affairs, and international taxation.
